As part of the Consent Order, all homes in West Mifflin Borough are required to undergo dye testing to identify properties directing stormwater—through downspouts, garage drains, or storm drains—into the sanitary sewer system. This practice is prohibited, as the sanitary system is intended only for wastewater, not stormwater runoff. To maintain compliance and protect our waterways, WMSSSA continues to monitor the system by requiring dye testing for all property transfers before closing. For more information, please contact our office at (412) 466-6070, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
WMSSSA is required to be in compliance with Section 8 of Ordinance 1006.

This form is to be used if you wish to have a plumber complete your dye test. A compliance form from WMSSSA is still needed if you choose this option. Also, please note that this is a 2-part dye test. Make sure the downspouts are not connected & dye is visually seen in the manhole.
